Peer Review Process

  1. Papers submitted are to be sent to the official site: https://jltmin.journals.ekb.eg/

  2. The Editor-in-Chief and/or Assistant Editors choose two reviewers with expertise that matches the paper submitted.

  3. The paper is sent to the two reviewers after all info (the researcher's name, title, and affiliation) has been completely deleted.

  4. The reviewers send their assessment to the Editorial Board, involving one of four decisions :

  5. accepted for publication without revision, 2. accepted for publication with minor revisions, 3. accepted for publication with major revisions, 4. rejected (not accepted for publication).
  6. The reviewers' decisions are sent to the researcher/s (only the first researcher is addressed if there are more than one). ....

  7. The researcher/s make/s the required revisions and re-submit/s the paper.

  8. The paper is re-sent to (one of) the two reviewers upon an assessment made by the Editor-in-Chief.

  9. If the reviewer/s decide/s that the revisions have been satisfactorily made, the researcher/s is/are informed that the paper has been FINALLY accepted for publication. But if the revisions have NOT been satisfactorily made, the researcher/s is/are informed and given another opportunity to revise the paper as required, within two weeks.

  10. The researcher/s make/s the required revisions and re-submit/s the paper.

  11. The paper is re-sent to one reviewer to decide whether the revisions have been satisfactorily made.

  12. If the reviewer/s decide/s that the revisions have been satisfactorily made, the researcher/s is/are informed that the paper has been FINALLY accepted for publication. If not so, the researcher/s is/are informed that the paper has been rejected.

  13. A researcher whose paper is accepted for publication is sent a letter of acceptance for publication and a request to sign a consent for publication form confirming the originality of his/her paper and giving the journal the right to publish it.
