This study explores the literary representation of workplace suffering, focusing on the corporate novel, an emerging subgenre that reflects the transformations of work in the service sector since the 1990s. Thierry Beinstingel observes that contemporary works prioritize the analysis of complex organizational mechanisms, moving away from traditional industrial settings. The corporate novel, situated between narrative fiction and organizational critique, depicts characters navigating various professional environments, addressing themes such as management, competition, conflicts, and ethical issues. This genre takes on different forms, ranging from social realism to satire, and offers a critical reflection on human relationships within organizations. The present study focuses on three works published between 2005 and 2010: Résolution by Pierre Mari, Les heures souterraines by Delphine de Vigan, and Nous étions des êtres vivants by Nathalie Kuperman. These novels highlight the psychological and social challenges faced by professionals in the service sector, offering a variety of literary and narrative perspectives. The central issue examines how the corporate novel represents workplace suffering and questions the ideologies and discourses that legitimize neoliberal structures. The novels analyze power dynamics, human interactions, and the effects of professional environments on their characters. By reexamining societal narratives, they challenge the role of work in shaping social relationships and reveal the limitations of the current organizational model
