A nominal predicate sentence refers to a sentence in the form of "NP1 + NP2". In this structure, it is generally considered that NP1 is the subject of the sentence, and NP2 is the predicate component of the sentence. This thesis takes the nominal predicate sentence in Chinese as the research object, and comprehensively sorts out the research results of the nominal predicate sentences in China. The research on nominal predicate sentences in Chinese academic circles can be divided into three periods: the period of defining research from the 1940s to the 1960s, the three-dimension research from the late 1970s, and the cognitive research from the new century. From the perspectives of generative grammar, categorization and construction theory, and grammatical metonymy, the research in the new century has carried out multi-level research on noun-predicate sentences, and has achieved fruitful results. However, there are still some problems in the study of noun-predicate sentences. The identification and analysis mechanism of the definition of noun-predicate sentences is not perfect, the discussion on the predicate of nouns is not deep enough, and the cognitive empirical research on nominal predicate sentences is not sufficient.
